Cellulite

What is it?
• Cellulite is caused by a change in the structure of fat cells (cells that store fat), giving the skin a kind of orange peel appearance.

• It is very common and normal in teenagers. About 90% of women have cellulite, but it is much less common in men (1 in 50).

• Cellulite is most common on the back of the thighs, buttocks, hips, stomach, nape of the neck, upper arms and behind the knees.

• The appearance and extent of cellulite vary from one person to another and depend on a number of factors.
