What is it?
•    Mental health is an element of your overall health (just like physical health) that’s essential to your survival.

•    It guides your behaviour and your way of thinking, communicating and understanding the world around you.

•    Good mental health means:
- Feeling good in your mind
- Experiencing emotions (joy, pain, pleasure, disappointment, etc.)
- Enjoying your relationships with others
- Being able to adapt to different situations in life
- Being able to handle difficult moments and resolve problems

•    A mental health problem can prevent you from functioning at your full potential, just like a physical problem would prevent you from functioning fully (e.g. a broken leg would prevent you from getting around easily or from taking part in sports).
