Intra-uterine system
•    The intra-uterine system is a hormonal contraceptive method.

•    It is a small T-shaped device with a small cylinder that slowly
releases a hormone. This hormone thins the lining of the uterus and
thickens the cervical mucous, making it harder for sperm to enter the
uterus.

•    The intra-uterine system must be inserted by a physician.

•    This form of contraception is not advised for teenagers because it is not suited to their needs.
