•    Losing someone to suicide is a devastating shock. It is perfectly normal to react by screaming, crying, getting angry, feeling “paralyzed” or feeling emotionally numb. Everyone reacts differently and mourns in their own way.

•    You may also feel guilty and come down on yourself: “This wouldn’t have happened if I’d done this or that…” To move forward, you have to accept what the person has done and that you don’t have control over other people’s actions. Regardless of what you did or didn’t do, it’s not your fault!
