How does it work?

 2- You receive an automatic message from us so you know you're at the right place 
 3- You get the answer of a counsellor

When should you use it?

Your text may address a personal matter or an issue related to a friend.

Your text should be:

  • a clear and short question 
  • a request for a specific information
  •  a reference request

SMS costs
Standard text messaging costs apply.
Like all services offered by Tel-jeunes, the SMS service is free. Tel-jeunes does not charge you for messages you send or receive.

However, this service works with a standard telephone number. This means that mobile users sending and receiving text messages from us will be charged according to the tariff plan of their wireless service providers. Exchanges are free for unlimited plans, billed according to the plan for the others.

For further information on your package check on your mobile bill or by connecting you to your personal space on the website of your provider.

Texto Tel-jeunes works with the following wireless service providers in Canada:

This list may change as new providers appears or choose not to provide this service anymore.
Here are some quick tips to maximize your message:

    • You only have 160 characters to write your question: be as clear and straight to the point as possible so that our counsellors can give an accurate response.

    • Avoid using the "smileys" because they may prevent the reception of your message

    • We cannot receive "MMS", you cannot send us videos or pictures, we won’t receive your message at all. Our counsellors  are here to answer you by text, but if you want to share multimedia content publically you can always contact us through Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/teljeunes
