Hello jjjj! I can understand your concerns regarding the situation that you describe. Let's take a look at it.

As teenagers become adults, their bodies go through a lot of physical changes. That's what we call the puberty. Have you ever heard of it? I guess so. During that period, teenagers notice changes including breast development and new hair in new places! Is it your case jjjj? That being said, menstruation is one of the last signs that a young girl is turning into a woman. What you describe in your mail could be your first periods. Congratulations jjjj! In facts, the first periods can be very light and the blood can have a deeper colour (sometimes brownish-red) or be thicker. It's also possible that it takes a long time before a girl has another period of menstruations after the first one. It's normal because the hormones are not stabilized yet. Do you understand? That being said, it takes time before a girl's cycle gets more and more regular and that we can have a better idea of what it will look like regarding the time between the episodes, the time that it will last and the amount of blood that will be lost. At the end, we have to consider the fact that everyone’s periods are different. Your periods might last only 2 or 3 days and be very light, and one of your friends might have hers for 6 or 7 days and be heavier. It's not a problem, and again, it's with time that you will be able to have a better idea of what your cycle will look like.
