Is it possible to be pregnant but still get your period at the same time every month? And if i wanted to get a pregnancy test done at a clinic, would i need to make an appointment or can I just walk in?

Tel-jeunes’ answer

Hi Jennaray,

Thanks for taking the time to ask us your questions about the possibility of being pregnant.

To answer your first question, one of the first sign that can make a woman believe she is pregnant is the absence of her period. But sometimes, it can happen that a pregnant woman still get small blood loss every month and that can be mistaken for her period. You understand?

As you probably already know, pregnancy becomes possible after a non-protected sexual intercourse occurs between a man and a woman. Have you had a non-protected sexual intercourse? If the answer is yes and it happened less than 5 days ago, do you know you can take the morning after pill if you don’t want to get pregnant? To have access to that pill, you have to ask your pharmacist. If you would like to have more informations about that, I invite you to consult the following link of our website:http://teljeunes.com/informe-toi/sexualite/contraception/pilule-du-lendemain-cou .

The only way to find out if you’re pregnant or not is to take a pregnancy test. Those tests are available at every pharmacy. You can just buy a test and take it at home, it is pretty easy. But if you prefer to get a pregnancy test done at a clinic like a CLSC, you do not need to make an appointment. You can just walk in.

I hope this answers your questions. Do not hesitate to call us if you have other questions or worries! We are here 24h/7: 1-800-263-2266.

Take care!
