Hello confused*,

It is true that talking about menstruation for the first time can be intimidating. It’s normal.

First, we can choose a moment. According to you when are your parents the most available for a conversation? Do you want to start by talking to one of them? Or both?

Also we can choose our introduction line…. A sentence that will help us break the ice. For example, “I have something important to tell you” or “There is something I want to talk about but I don’t know how to”… Do you see what I mean? Does it give you any ideas?

There are not many possibilities about how to say “I have my periods”. But we can choose to put things in place in order to feel more comfortable. Do you agree with me?

I’ll let you think about your own way to do it. But we are always available for you!

Take care!
