[ hopeless and in love and shy ]
I am gay, and i always see this guy that i really like. i want to make a move, but i'm not sure if he's gay. I see him in my bus every day and i wish one of us would make a move, but im really too shy and scared to be embarassed and never want to show my face again in that bus... Is there a way to tell if he's interested, and is there a way to ask him out? i really like him and i want to be with him, but i dont want to bark up the wrong tree...
Hi sadkidd,
Love can sometimes question us in different ways.
You know sadkidd it might be hard to know about someone’s sexual orientation when we don't know him much. Do you agree? It might be helpful to first get to know him. There are many ways possible: we can smile at him, we can look at him, we can sit closer to him, we can ask him how he is, we can introduce ourselves, etc. How would you like to get closer to him? By getting to know someone, we usually learn more about his interests and his personality. It is therefore easier to find activities that we both like and to invite him out. It is then also easier to know what a person feels or thinks about ourselves and if he prefers girls or guys. What do you think?
You know sadkidd we can wait until someone comes to us, but we might be waiting for a long time or it might never happen. We can also choose to make a move, but we might learn that the other person is not interested. Would you prefer to have a try or to take the risk to miss a relationship with that guy? Most people would feel embarrassed or scared toward a person for whom they have feelings. Does it reassure you? One of the ways to diminish that fear or that embarrassment is to face the situation. Every time we try to make a move, our embarrassment and our fears often diminish. Do you understand? Would you like to fight your embarrassment and to make a move toward him?
